How pricing works

You pay for how many people use it, not for which features you unlock, and "how many" has a precise definition.

In this article

There are no feature tiers here. Every church gets the website builder, the member app, events, groups, sermons, the blog, outreach, volunteers and a custom domain, including the free one.

Price is set by how many people actually use it.

Active accounts Price

11-100 $29/month

What free does not include

Online giving, and taking event payments online (on the free plan you can still charge for an event and collect at the door); AI assistants, connecting the ChatGPT or Claude you already use so it can build pages, add events and answer questions about your church; and YouTube auto-import, which adds new videos from your channel as sermons automatically. Adding a sermon yourself, by pasting its link, works on every plan. Automatic live-stream alerts: when you go live on YouTube, your site shows it. On free, your site shows your stream but doesn't announce it. WorshipBoard sync: the WorshipBoard desktop app is free to download and shows a small watermark; paid plans remove it and sync your songs and service plans. Paid plans also get 5 GB of photo storage instead of the free plan's 500 MB. Everything else about your website and app works on the free tier, permanently, with no trial clock.

What counts as an active account

This matters more than the brackets do, because it is where the number comes from.

An active account is a person you've approved. That is it.

Not counted:

  • Somebody who has asked to join and is still pending your approval
  • Somebody you imported, until you approve them
  • An archived account: someone who left, whose records you kept
  • Children on a family profile

That is the useful part: you can import your whole congregation, and only the people you approve count toward the bill. A church of 300 that approves 60 people pays for 60.

When the price changes

Moving up happens when you approve someone. If approving a person takes your church into the next bracket, your plan moves up right away. Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of the month on your next invoice, and you get a notification and an email saying what changed.

Moving down waits for your renewal. If people are archived and your count drops into a lower bracket, the lower price starts at your next monthly renewal. Nothing is ever switched off in the middle of a cycle.

On the free plan, approving your 11th active account first asks you to start a paid plan.

Importing without a bill

Everyone brought in by importing your church lands as pending, and pending does not count.

Import your whole roster and your bill does not move. It moves as you approve people, deliberately, at whatever pace suits you.

Choosing where to start

Start free. Genuinely, build the site, publish some content, invite your staff. The free tier is not a demo and it does not expire.

Move to a paid plan when you want to take giving, or when your eleventh person signs in. Most churches hit the first reason before the second.

Cancelling

Your content is yours and you can export it. We would rather you left with everything than felt stuck.
