Opening a conversation, sending a message, and seeing a reply arrive used to stall for about three seconds each. They're now near-instant on both the web and the mobile app.

June 2026 — Members can block and report; you have a moderation queue
Members can now block someone or report a message, post, or prayer request. Reports land in a new Moderation page in your admin sidebar where you can resolve or dismiss them in a click. Profanity in direct messages, group chat, and prayer is filtered automatically.

June 2026 — Members no longer upload their own profile photo
The portal profile page no longer lets members upload a photo of themselves. Leader and staff photos are still set from the admin People page — that hasn't changed.

The 'Edit theme' link in your homepage builder now opens the full theme editor as a focused view over your work, so you can change a color or font and pick up exactly where you were. Two small contrast hints also help you catch readability issues on your hero before they ship.

Your homepage hero went from 4 layouts to 9, with new names that tell you how each one feels. The theme editor gained ten one-click font pairings, and you can now style individual words in your headline with your theme's accent color and fonts.

Your Menu panel now has a drag handle on each section row so you can change the order of your homepage. Site search and About sub-tabs also moved into the same panel, and the About dropdown's Leadership and Beliefs links work on the homepage again.

Your homepage builder now has a single Menu panel for renaming nav items or hiding sections. Service times also display in your church's timezone everywhere, and a few other small fixes landed alongside.

June 2026 — Growing past your plan's member cap no longer locks the app
If your church grows past the member limit on your plan, you'll see a banner at the top of the app — but everything you already do still works. Only adding new members is paused until you upgrade or archive someone.

ECA's built-in online giving (the Stripe-powered donation form) now correctly requires a paid plan. Free churches can still link to an external giving page on any plan.

Your app home now has a Today tab that shows what your members see, with your own to-do list above it. Service times also display in your church's timezone for everyone, not whatever zone the viewer's phone happens to be in.

Invite emails used to drop people on a dead page if they clicked the link on anything other than the (not-yet-released) mobile app. Invited members now land on a short web setup flow that gets them signed in, a password set, and optionally pointed at the right groups in under a minute.

Invite emails now point at your own easychurchapp.com domain instead of a Supabase URL. The setup flow takes two fewer steps. People you invite are approved automatically. And there's a new self-serve join page anyone can use.

If you invited someone and they never accepted, you can now resend the email or cancel the invite cleanly so the same email address can be invited again. You can also delete an archived member without unarchiving them first.

Open any group and you land on a single Feed that pulls together announcements and upcoming events, with the most important post pinned at the top. Settings move out of a tab and into a side drawer behind a gear icon, and pushing a new post now sends a real push notification to everyone in the group.

If your church is in Dallas and you schedule a sermon for 9:00 AM Sunday, it goes live at 9:00 AM Dallas time. Previously, scheduled times were stored in UTC and could go live hours before or after the time you intended.
