When Pushpay may fit better

  • You run several campuses and want each one to have its own people, groups and giving, with reporting across all of them.
  • You want text, kiosk, tap, stock or crypto giving from the same company that runs your church management.
  • You want an app published under your church's own name.
  • You're a church plant in a recognized planting network and can use Pushpay's free first year.

When EasyChurchApp may fit better

  • You want to see your price before talking to anyone, on a monthly plan you can cancel anytime.
  • You want your church website in the same place as your app and giving, on your own domain.
  • You want to start free and add giving when you're ready.

What Pushpay offers

Pushpay sells church giving, church management software (ChMS) and custom church apps, separately or together as its ChurchStaq platform.

Church Community Builder is now part of Pushpay: Pushpay bought it, and its technology runs Pushpay's ChMS.

Pricing is quote-based. You book a demo and Pushpay's sales team recommends a plan.

What EasyChurchApp includes

  • A church website you edit yourself, on your own domain on every plan, including free.

How to connect your own domain

Switching from Pushpay to EasyChurchApp

You can import people and giving history from a CSV file, and imported gifts appear in year-end statements straight away. Addresses don't import yet, so keep your old export for those.

You can start free and set up your site before you move anything.

Frequently
asked questions

Is EasyChurchApp a Pushpay alternative?

It can be. EasyChurchApp combines a church website, member app and online giving in one product, free for up to 10 active accounts. The sections above say when Pushpay may be the better fit.

Is Church Community Builder the same as Pushpay now?

Yes. Pushpay bought Church Community Builder, and its technology is now part of Pushpay's church management software. The old Church Community Builder website redirects to Pushpay.

Does EasyChurchApp charge a platform fee on giving?

No. Your church pays only Stripe's processing fee, and EasyChurchApp adds nothing on top. Online giving is on paid plans.

Can we keep our current giving provider?

Yes. Choose "Use my current provider" and your website and app will send people to your current giving page. This works on the free plan, and you can move giving over later.

Can we move our data from Pushpay?

You can import people and giving history into EasyChurchApp from a CSV file. Addresses don't import yet.
