Security and church data privacy
at EasyChurchApp
Online gifts in EasyChurchApp run on Stripe, which is PCI compliant, and card details are handled by Stripe and never touch EasyChurchApp's servers.
Inside the app, roles decide who on your staff can see what, and only admins can see who gave what. You can download a copy of your church's records whenever you want.

- Card details handled by Stripe, never stored by us
- Only admins see giving records

Payments and card data
EasyChurchApp's giving runs on Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe, which is PCI compliant, and they never touch EasyChurchApp's servers.
Gifts go to your church's own Stripe account.
Staff roles and permissions
There are three roles: member, editor and admin.
Editors run content and people: pages, events, sermons, groups, member records and announcements.
Only admins can change someone's role, see and manage giving records, and change church settings like the domain and billing. When an editor downloads the church's data, the giving files are left out.
Group leaders can run their own group without any authority over the rest of the church.
Member privacy
The member directory is only for signed-in members of your church. It is not part of your public website.
Each member decides who sees their email, phone number, address and birthday: only them, church staff, or all members. Until they choose, it stays private.
Children are never listed in the directory. A child's profile is seen by their parent and church staff, and by the leaders of a group or event check-in the child is part of.
When a member posts a prayer request anonymously, staff see the request without the name.
AI assistants stay within your limits
AI assistants are off until an admin connects one. They are part of the paid plans.
For each area, an admin chooses Off, Read, Draft or Publish. Announcements can go no further than Draft, and people and giving no further than Read.
Your data export lists every assistant connected to your church, who connected it, and when it was last used.
Website protection
Your church website blocks common automated scans at the edge, before a request reaches our servers.
New accounts confirm their email address with a short code.
Safe community features
In the member app, members can block someone or report a message, a prayer request or a person, and reports go to a Moderation page for your staff.
Profanity in direct messages and group chat is filtered automatically.
Your data is yours
Admins can download the church's records as CSV files in one ZIP: members, giving, events, groups, prayer requests and more, plus a list of every uploaded picture with a link to it.
Any member can download a ZIP of the information held about them at your church from their account page.
Members can delete their own account.
